The couple were there to promote their 2018 reality show Ashley + Evan; the show aired on the E! Network for one season before it was canceled due to low ratings.

During one portion of the show, a caller asked the couple if they felt doing a reality TV series would jeopardize their relationship.

Ashlee Simpson responded: "No, we don't. At first, we thought it would be more like a docu-series. And then we were like, your relationship is what your relationship is. We don't think a show can make or break us."

Evan Ross replied: "Very good, he is such an amazing guy and father. I grew up in a family with a lot of different siblings from different marriages. So I have a big family. And I think it is a beautiful thing. My relationship with Pete is amazing."

Ross continued, "As I said, he's an amazing person and father. He knows that I love his son very much, but that I respect their father and son relationship. I think we have such a great friendship and many great experiences with each other. It's a beautiful thing."
