Robert Anthony Stoops “Bob Stoops” is an American football coach who was the head football coach at the University of Oklahoma from 1999 through the 2016 season.
Stoops married Carol Stoops, a Mary Kay National Sales Director in 1988. The couple has three children: a daughter, Mackenzie, twin sons, Isaac and Drake. Drake Stoops plays wide receiver for the Oklahoma Sooners.
When Drake Stoops was born, his father had already begun his coaching career. Little did he know that his father will one day coach him. When Bob became OU’s interim coach on Nov. 28, he was allowed to coach his son professionally.
During a recent game, Drake received a perfectly timed leap and he hauled it in even with an Oregon defender draped on his back for a six-yard touchdown. He made his way over to his father, interim head coach Bob Stoops, and gave him a wonderful hug.
